Associate Director, Government Pricing
About the role
The Associate Director, Government Pricing (GP) is a strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring full compliance with U.S. government pricing regulations while shaping pricing strategy across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Support the Government Pricing Director for all activities related to: Government pricing calculations, submissions, and compliance, including AMP, ASP, Best Price, PHS, and FSS/VAGovernment contracting processes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Strategic guidance on the government pricing implications of commercial contracting decisions
- Partner with Customer Operations and Order-to-Cash teams to maintain accurate class of trade and membership data
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in collaboration with Government Affairs; assess and communicate potential business impact
- Support financial planning by advising on gross-to-net assumptions and pricing impacts
- Identify and implement process improvements, systems enhancements, and automation opportunities to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency
Requirements
10+ years of experience in pricing, finance, contracting, or a related analytical function within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industryMinimum 5 years of direct, hands-on government pricing experienceDeep expertise in U.S. government pricing methodologies, including AMP, ASP, Best Price, PHS, and FSS/VAStrong understanding of current regulatory requirements and compliance frameworksExperience working with third-party vendors and rebate processing systemsFamiliarity with state Medicaid operations is a plusExperience presenting complex analyses and recommendations to senior and executive-level audiencesDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and governance forums
