About the role
The Associate Director of Logistics plays a critical role in driving operational excellence within the Effectors operations across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the Director of Production Control and Logistics, this role is a pivotal member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing all logistics functions in a fast-paced, program-driven environment.
Responsibilities

- Inventory management
- Material distribution
- Packaging
- Government furnished material management and compliance
- Customer delivery and transportation
- Leadership and talent development opportunities for an organization of over 200 salary and bargaining unit employees
- Collaboration across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain
- Managing the transition of $2B of inventory to GXO (3PL) with minimal impact to factory production
- People leader and manager; encouraging and supporting performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and /or talent development
- Managing employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the organization
- Collaborating and building strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology, or large corporate environment
- Communicating clear expectations and influencing teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines
- Executing against tight deadlines
- Supporting audit readiness and compliance
- Supporting factory deliveries to mitigate stoppages and meet ramp rates
Qualifications
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- Experience working within Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing or similar production schedule driven environment
- Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience
- Ability to obtain interim secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start
- Prior experience leading in a DoD environment managing a collective bargaining workforce
- Experience within Operations manufacturing, and financial business acumen
- Experience in Six Sigma, CORE, Lean Manufacturing processes, diagnostics, and continuous improvement
- Experience driving financial performance, cost reduction, staffing, and budgeting
