Associate Director, Effectors Logistics

About the role

The Associate Director of Logistics plays a critical role in driving operational excellence within the Effectors operations across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the Director of Production Control and Logistics, this role is a pivotal member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing all logistics functions in a fast-paced, program-driven environment.

  • Collaboration across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Managing the transition of $2B of inventory to GXO (3PL) with minimal impact to factory production
  • People leader and manager; encouraging and supporting performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and /or talent development
  • Managing employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the organization
  • Collaborating and building strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology, or large corporate environment
  • Communicating clear expectations and influencing teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines
  • Executing against tight deadlines
  • Supporting audit readiness and compliance
  • Supporting factory deliveries to mitigate stoppages and meet ramp rates

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Experience working within Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing or similar production schedule driven environment
  • Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain interim secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start
  • Prior experience leading in a DoD environment managing a collective bargaining workforce
  • Experience within Operations manufacturing, and financial business acumen
  • Experience in Six Sigma, CORE, Lean Manufacturing processes, diagnostics, and continuous improvement
  • Experience driving financial performance, cost reduction, staffing, and budgeting
