About the role
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of finance, strategy, and commercial operations. You will act as the primary finance business partner to our US commercial teams—including merchandising, supplier management, acquisition, retention, and operations—bringing financial discipline and analytical depth to key decisions around pricing, margins, and growth investments.
You will own a significant portion of the US P&L while also leading strategic planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes. This role is foundational in building our US finance function and requires a commercially minded, data-driven leader who thrives in a fast-moving e-commerce environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance business partner to US commercial teams, owning the commercial P&L and translating business performance into clear financial insights
- Lead planning, forecasting, and strategic target-setting, delivering decision-ready analysis and scalable financial models
- Drive pricing strategy and optimization through data-driven models, promotional analysis, and real-time KPI monitoring
- Support supplier negotiations and commercial deal structures with financial modeling, ensuring strong margin performance and improved working capital efficiency
- Partner with marketing to optimize investment decisions using ROI frameworks and customer economics (CAC, LTV, payback), translating performance into P&L impact
- Leverage SQL and BI tools to analyze large datasets, build reporting frameworks, and generate actionable insights across commercial and operational performance
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business finance
- At least 3 years in e-commerce or digitally native retail environments
- Deep understanding of e-commerce P&L (gross margin, contribution margin, CAC/LTV, promotions)
- Experience supporting pricing strategy and/or supplier/vendor negotiations
- Proven track record in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets independently
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills
- Strong business partnering skills with ability to influence without authority
- Excellent communication skills, translating complex financial insights into clear recommendations
Bonus if you also bring
- Experience in DTC, subscription e-commerce, or marketplace businesses
- Exposure to performance marketing finance and customer lifetime value modeling
- Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- MBA, CFA, or similar advanced degree

- Full ownership of the commercial P&L is established within the first 90 days
- Pricing frameworks and KPI tracking are implemented and actively used by commercial teams
- Annual planning and target-setting processes are successfully led end-to-end
- ROI and customer economics models guide marketing investment decisions
- Finance is recognized as a proactive and value-adding partner to the business
- Supplier negotiations deliver measurable improvements in margin and working capital
- Scalable financial frameworks and reporting structures are built and adopted

- The salary range for this role is $144,000 - $216,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on role scope, relevant skills and experience, location, internal equity and business needs.
