Responsibilities
- Oversee the College’s Advising Program to support, develop, and enhance the quality of advising across the College
- Report and serve as thought partner to the Dean of Undergraduate Education in providing informed, creative programs for student success
- Coordinate the College’s academic outreach system and work with faculty to coordinate response and support
- Serve as primary success advisor for an assigned cohort of students, including students on academic probation
- Advise students on violations of the College’s Academic Integrity Policy and attend academic integrity hearings as needed in accordance with College policy
- Collaborate with Registrar and Dean of Undergraduate Education to support student degree planning, including advising and registration for incoming and transfer students
- Collaborate with College personnel and offices on student success, including The Office of Accessibility, Athletics, Health and Counseling Services, Student Affairs, and Student Financial Services
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in undergraduate advising; senior advising and/or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to think analytically, creatively, and sympathetically about complex and evolving needs of a diverse student body
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and with a team in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Pay
The salary range for this position is $73k-81k.
