Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

This senior executive leadership role serves as the chief academic officer of the School of Nursing and a strategic partner to the Dean. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs provides comprehensive oversight of academic programs, including curriculum, assessment, accreditation, and academic operations across undergraduate and graduate education.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous quality improvement efforts for academic programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Advance innovative academic and community partnerships aligned with the School’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the Dean, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Student Services, Assistant Deans, Chairs, Program Directors, Coordinators, and university leadership as a member of the School of Nursing Leadership Team.
• Optional teaching responsibilities, as determined by the Dean.

Schedule

This is a 12-month fiscal appointment.

Review Process

Undergoes administrative review after the second year and every three years thereafter, incorporating faculty feedback.
