Associate Counsel - Texas

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Counsel - Texas to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide legal support across litigation matters with a focus on insurance defense and related claims work in Texas. The attorney will partner closely with Claims and other internal stakeholders to assess liability and damages, prepare case materials, and represent the company in proceedings that support effective case resolution. The position also requires strong drafting, research, and deposition skills, along with the ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $104,550 – $162,975 annually Responsibilities Research laws and draft legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda Provide opinions on liability and damages to the Claims Department Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery materials Defend assigned matters in trial or hearings Conduct depositions and examinations under oath Qualifications 2-6+ years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance, defense, or personal injury Juris Doctor degree is required Admission to the Texas Bar is required Must maintain good standing with Texas licensing requirements, including Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Willingness to travel for trials, depositions, and meetings Strong written communication skills for clear documentation Ability to manage complex instructions and prioritize tasks effectively Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company match Generous paid time off and holiday schedule Opportunities for professional development and CLE reimbursement Flexible work arrangements with remote options available Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
