About the role
The role is a hybrid position based in Boston, MA, with a current expectation of working 4 days in the office.
Responsibilities
- Review and update employee benefit and compensation plan documents, amendments, and other related documentation;
- Support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefit plans and processes, including associated governance committees and tax, securities and other governmental filings;
- Advise on ERISA, fiduciary duty, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, vendor management and other issues related to qualified retirement plans, supplemental retirement plans, and health and welfare plans;
- Provide guidance to business partners with respect to handling and responding to participant and/or benefit plan claim matters;
- Liaise with external service providers, including external legal counsel and outsourced administrators, to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in U.S. (primarily) and non-U.S., jurisdictions;
- Provide a supportive and critical perspective to internal Global Human Resources teams based on strong problem-solving and technical legal skills, overseeing a breadth of employee benefits, employee relations, and governance matters and projects;
- Provide support to senior attorneys on executive compensation, benefits, employment, and other matters.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school;
- Admitted to practice and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction;
- 4-6 years experience in employee benefits law.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collegially with internal clients, outside counsel, and other members of the legal team;
- Strong organizational skills and independent follow through on issues and tasks;
- Sound judgment and ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters;
- Capable of producing high-quality work with general supervision.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $157,500 annually.
