Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on FDA labeling and promotional matters
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure compliance with healthcare laws
• Educate business partners on legal implications of marketing programs
• Advise on legal implications related to third-party interactions
• Participate in leadership teams for brand and global product strategies
• Draft and review contracts related to company assets
• Advise on data disclosures following clinical developments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and JD degree from accredited schools
• Admitted to the bar in at least one state, eligible for Indiana
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience, including 4 years in-house at a pharmaceutical or biotech company
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing laws and regulations
• Experience with product counseling in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, or oncology

Pay

$229,500 – $336,600 annually
