Associate - Consumer, Retail & Leisure

About the role

Lazard is seeking an Associate to join the Consumer, Retail & Leisure team in New York. In this group, Associates work on a variety of strategic transactions for leading and emerging food & beverage, home and personal care, and retail/e-commerce companies. The Consumer and Retail group is based in the New York office and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for consumer and retail companies across the U.S and globally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial and performance information
• Run financial models and conduct analysis
• Perform company and industry research
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
• Interact with senior bankers and clients

Requirements

• 3-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Consumer, Retail & Leisure investment banking space
• Strong analytical skills with training in the building of presentation materials and financial modeling
• Proven academic excellence with excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
• Team player mindset; ability to work as part of a close-knit team
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both to deal teams and external clients
• Strong ability to multi-task
• High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product

Pay

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $185,000 - $250,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
