Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and discovering software vulnerabilities.
- Support reverse engineering software for security mechanism bypasses.
- Affiliate in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems.
- Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption.
- Take direction from more senior personnel and provide status updates that allow those personnel to present to leadership and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 0+ years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience OR Associate’s degree and 2+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree and 0+ years, OR a PhD with 0+ years of progressively responsible experience.
- Working knowledge of vulnerability research.
- Some hands-on experience in reverse engineering and common research tools (e.g., IdaPro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++ or Assembly (x86/x64) programming.
- Proficiency in low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g., Windows, Linux, Mobile).
- Troubleshooting / debugging experience.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
