Responsibilities
- Support critical national security missions by identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a highly skilled cyber team to advance offensive and defensive capabilities.
- Researching and discovering software vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and environments.
- Reverse engineering software to identify security weaknesses and develop mechanism bypasses.
- Performing as a team lead on projects when appropriate, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Managing the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems.
- Researching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and emerging trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption.
- Communicating project status, findings, and risk considerations with leadership and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in vulnerability research.
- Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG or similar.
- Experience in Python, C/C++, and Assembly (x86/x64) programming.
- Experience with CNO capability development.
- Experience with low-level internals in Windows and Linux.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging.
Qualifications
- Experience managing or leading teams.
- Experience developing fuzzers and static analysis tools.
- Experience with modern security system features.
- Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
- Experience applying Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience mentoring junior vulnerability researchers.
