Responsibilities

  • Support critical national security missions by identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a highly skilled cyber team to advance offensive and defensive capabilities.
  • Researching and discovering software vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Reverse engineering software to identify security weaknesses and develop mechanism bypasses.
  • Performing as a team lead on projects when appropriate, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Managing the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems.
  • Researching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and emerging trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption.
  • Communicating project status, findings, and risk considerations with leadership and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in vulnerability research.
  • Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG or similar.
  • Experience in Python, C/C++, and Assembly (x86/x64) programming.
  • Experience with CNO capability development.
  • Experience with low-level internals in Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing or leading teams.
  • Experience developing fuzzers and static analysis tools.
  • Experience with modern security system features.
  • Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
  • Experience applying Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring junior vulnerability researchers.
