About the role

The Associate Clinical Applications Specialist - IS Clinical Services is responsible for assessing clinical customer needs and problems related to hospital operations and clinical information flow. They troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex problems, providing guidance and instruction to customers. They lead medium to large size projects, develop and maintain project plans, and assist in mentoring and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Affirms priorities of clinical customer's needs and problems related to both hospital operations and the flow of clinical information with respect to patient care.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, and solves complex problems, provides guidance and instruction to customers, verbal and written communication is clear and concise, interacts with customers of different levels of expertise as well as the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrates advanced project management skills, productivity, time management, advanced IT skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize high priority tasks projects simultaneously.
  • Works with the Informatics team to identify and resolve issues regarding system administration, system security, system configuration, testing activities, and project implementations.
  • Able to assist in project meetings and provide updates to IS Leadership in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of advances and developments in computer technology.
  • Aids in mentoring and developing Associate Clinical Applications Analyst, Clinical Applications Analyst, and Senior Clinical Applications Analyst to achieve growth in experience.
  • Functions as Service Desk support personnel as needed.
  • Completes annual education core requirements.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Business, Health Information Management, or related health care field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years in Healthcare IT experience and 1 year of Oracle Health experience required. Oracle Health certifications preferred.
