Associate Civil Engineer - Clearwater,FL

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare site plan development drawings
• Design and detail of site layout, removals, grading, utilities, etc.
• Design and detail for stormwater management [SWM]: hydrologic & hydraulic [H&H] modeling, erosion control, sediment control [E&SC], relevant design calculations, etc.
• Preparation of permits applications and reports
• Affiliate with mentoring junior-level staff

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline)
• 3+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land and/or Site Design projects

Preferred Qualifications

• FE / EIT
• Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools; experience using HydroCAD is a plus!

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in land development design using AutoCad Civil 3D and involving grading, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water line design
• Proven ability to prepare a site plan package for submission to local jurisdiction(s) is a plus!
• Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude
• Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
