Associate - CIB Credit - Power & Renewables, TD Securities

Responsibilities

• Being involved with the structuring of new credit transactions
• Preparation of credit applications
• Supporting client development
• Supporting transaction execution
• Preparing and recommending credit submissions including new business, annual and interim client reviews
• Conducting appropriate market, industry, and client research and risk analysis
• Working closely with Investment Banking, and other product groups, including Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Derivatives, Cash Management and Foreign Exchange to ensure cross-sell opportunities are developed and captured
• Assisting Loan Syndications in preparing materials and providing information to lenders in the syndicate
• Developing and maintaining solid and effective working relationships with clients, internal and external business partners, and credit adjudicators

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant credit and industry experience
• A combination of strong financial/analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Strong financial/analytical skills, knowledge of MS Excel required
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and establish priorities with minimal supervision
• Proactive and highly motivated
• The capacity to become adept at financial modeling
• The ability to work effectively in a team
• Enthusiasm for renewable energy and the clean energy transition
