Duties and Responsibilities
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of Feeding Tampa Bay
- Culinary Duties:
- Cut, chop, and prepare food for service
- Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas
- Absorbent to assist with preparation and serving of food
- Wash pots pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment
- Monitor food service operations to ensure all procedures are followed
- Facilities Duties:
- Cleans and sanitizes all areas including the dining room, kitchen, restrooms, office spaces, parking lot and building exterior areas
- Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep mop, and scrub floors
- Clean walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills
- Collect and empty trash
- Maintains inventory of needed supplies and replenishes as needed
- Organizes storage of cleaning supplies
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
- Reports all safety and facility issues immediately to Program Manager
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Understands third-party audit requirements and Feeding America compliance guidelines that pertains to facilities
- Provides assistance to staff, visitors, and neighbors as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Excel working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate the ability to embrace the FTB’s commitment to treat all people with equity and respect in pursuit of our mission to feed people in need and mobilize our community to eliminate hunger
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Cleaning experience preferred
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate to officials, staff and public in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work in an environment that will contain variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to noise, dust/dirt
- Schedule must be flexible with the ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed
- All internal candidates must be in good standing with no corrective actions within the last 90 days.
