About the role
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Business Tax Services practice, focusing on ultra-high net worth individual, trust, and estate clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to owners and senior executives of KPMG’s private client base
- Prepare complex individual income, gift, trust, and estate tax returns for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and Family Offices
- Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
- Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high-quality tax service and advice
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
Requirements
- Minimum one year of ultra-high net worth individual and/or trust and estate tax experience in an accounting firm and/or law firm is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
- Knowledge of individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax, and trust taxation; multi-generational estate planning experience is a plus
- Experience working on multiple client engagements and client service teams
- Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
