Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients, including:
    • Updating bank accounts via online feed
    • Importing bank/credit card transactions via manual feed
    • Coding bank and credit card transactions
    • Escalating open items to the senior accountant/team lead for review
  • Manage processing of bills and receipts via third-party web-based applications (e.g., Bill.com, ReceiptBank), including:
    • Processing bills uploaded in the Inbox on a specific schedule, ensuring proper coding, description, service date, and approver assignment
    • Escalating processed bills to the senior accountant/team lead for review
  • Handle accounts receivable tasks as assigned, such as entering customer deposits and applying payments
  • Match payroll transactions or enter appropriate journal entries based on provided reports, depending on the payroll schedule
  • During closing season, perform:
    • Reconciliation in accounting software
    • Updates to working papers
    • Posting of entries in the books
  • Conduct self-review of work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the BPO industry
  • Experience using XERO and QuickBooks Online (QBO) required
  • Experience using NetSuite preferred but not required
  • Experience handling Hospitality and Ecommerce clients preferred
  • Licensed CPA is an advantage
  • Clear and effective communication skills

Pay

$67,700 - $89,900 a year
