Responsibilities

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to owners and senior executives of KPMG’s private client base, focusing on ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Prepare complex individual income, gift, trust, and estate tax returns for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and Family Offices.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope, acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
  • Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax service and advice.
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of ultra-high-net-worth individual and/or trust and estate tax experience in an accounting firm and/or law firm (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university.
  • Knowledge of individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax, and trust taxation; multi-generational estate planning experience is a plus.
  • Experience working on multiple client engagements and client service teams.
  • Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information.

The salary range for this role is determined based on factors such as applicant skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
