Associate Bond Claims Attorney
Position Overview
We have an exciting growth opportunity for an Associate Bond Claims Attorney – Trainee in our Santa Ana, California office. This role is designed for an early-career attorney who will receive structured training and mentorship to develop expertise in surety bond claims. Following the training period, the Trainee will transition into a full Associate Bond Claims Attorney role.
Timeline and Performance Objectives
- During the first 30 days: Learn about our company, surety bond fundamentals, and claims processes.
- During the first 3 months: Gain proficiency in claims handling procedures and compliance with statutory and regulatory deadlines.
- During the training period: Shadow experienced team members and gain exposure to different claims disciplines, as well as related legal and regulatory issues.
- During the first 6 months and beyond: Progress to the role of Bond Claims Attorney upon demonstrating the ability to independently manage assigned claims and legal matters, and based on business need.
Investigate Claims
- Prepare determination letters and assist in mediations and court proceedings.
Education And Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent education/experience
- Up to two years of relevant legal experience (civil litigation, insurance claims, construction law, or probate practice preferred)

Pay
The reasonable pay range for this position is $85,400 to $117,500 per year. The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
