About the role

This role plays a vital part in delivering TD's human, relationship-driven banking experience. As a trusted guide for clients, you will provide everyday banking services with accuracy, confidence, and clarity, helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals while upholding TD's strong risk and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact and hospitality ambassador for clients, managing in-person and phone traffic flow while delivering a high-touch client experience.
  • Perform accurate and efficient everyday banking transactions while proactively identifying client needs and opportunities to deepen relationships.
  • Refer clients to appropriate partners to help them achieve their financial objectives.
  • Engage clients professionally, educating them on products, self-serve solutions, and recommending tailored financial solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic banking products and services to evaluate and recommend client solutions using available tools and resources.
  • Handle a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
  • Identify and assess client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures; escalate non-standard issues internally.
  • Orchestrate the overall client experience by managing client flow, resolving inquiries, and making referrals to appropriate partners.
  • Create personalized, client-first interactions that build trust and strengthen ongoing relationships.
  • Balance client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence, and risk awareness to ensure compliant outcomes.
  • Proactively educate clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience and support financial well-being.
  • Connect clients with specialists as needed to help them achieve long-term financial goals.
  • Advocate for clients by demonstrating empathy, integrity, and a long-term perspective in all interactions.
  • Maintain compliance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect clients.
  • Safeguard the integrity of client relationships by adhering to AML laws and regulatory requirements, verifying client identification, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Identify potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalate them appropriately.
  • Act in accordance with TD's code of conduct and ethical standards in every decision.
  • Complete required training and continuously strengthen risk and compliance knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD’s model, brand, and culture as a team member.
  • Take accountability for outcomes and performance by participating in development activities and sharing insights across the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience working with clients (volunteering, education, or military experience may apply).
  • Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing or financial institution role preferred.
  • Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary License preferred.
