Position Overview

The Associate Attorney will support active litigation matters, assist with case strategy, and play an integral role in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is eager to develop strong litigation skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with clients to provide updates and maintain strong client relationships
  • Draft and review legal documents, including discovery, motions, pleadings, and briefs throughout the life of a case
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
  • Gather evidence, interview clients and witnesses, and assist in developing case strategy
  • Attend and assist at hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Support trial preparation, including witness examination, opening statements, trial motions, exhibits, and jury instructions
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri is required
  • Admission to practice in Illinois is preferred but not required
  • Eligibility to practice before applicable state and federal courts
