About us
A litigation-focused law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with litigation experience to join its San Francisco office.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare high-quality written work product
- Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and staff while also working independently
- Engage directly with clients early in your career
Requirements
- Active member of the California Bar in good standing
- 2–5 years of litigation experience
- Strong academic background
- Excellent legal writing and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
Preferred Experience
- Retail trade litigation
- Construction disputes
- Complex commercial litigation
- Government contracts
- Employment law matters, particularly wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA claims
