Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and legal opinions.
- Draft and review legal documents including motions, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Absorb and manage multiple cases across various practice areas by maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines.
- Prepare for litigation by developing strategies, drafting pleadings, and supporting discovery processes.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay informed on current laws and regulations across practice areas such as statutory legal research and procedural law knowledge.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases involving personal injury law or general litigation to ensure thorough case preparation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the Pennsylvania state bar is required.
- Proven experience or strong interest in practicing estate planning/probate, workers' compensation law, and personal injury cases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research platforms including LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of procedural and statutory legal frameworks.
- Experience with legal case management software and familiarity with legal administrative processes.
- Effective negotiation skills combined with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Prior law office experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude toward learning is essential.
