Associate Attorney

What You'll Do

• Manage a diverse caseload involving premises liability, personal injury defense, and general civil litigation.
• Develop litigation strategies alongside experienced defense attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and insurance representatives.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
• Handle files from inception through resolution while delivering exceptional client service.

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Approximately 3-5 years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Premises Liability, Insurance Defense, Personal Injury Defense, General Liability Litigation, Civil Litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple active matters.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client communications.
• Experience representing clients in the hospitality or casino industry is welcomed but not required.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $85,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.
• Performance-based bonus opportunities.

Billable Requirement

180 billable hours per month.

Work Arrangement

Full-time position based in Atlantic City, NJ. Hybrid schedule available following the initial onboarding and training period.
