Associate Attorney

About the role

We represent consumers in debt lawsuit defense, debt settlement, debt management, bankruptcy, and consumer protection litigation. Our mission is to help individuals and families overcome overwhelming debt.

Responsibilities

  • Defend clients in debt lawsuits
  • Work with clients to negotiate debt settlements
  • Manage client finances and budgets
  • Advocate for clients in bankruptcy proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
  • Participate in consumer protection litigation

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas
  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer debt defense and resolution
  • Interest in and commitment to helping underserved communities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$70,000 - $80,000 yearly

Schedule

Remote work is available, but dependent on experience. In-office hours are flexible to accommodate remote work.
