Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage litigation matters in Alabama and Mississippi.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
- Manage a high-volume litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings in Alabama and Mississippi.
- Review, prepare, and approve pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal filings.
- Develop litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members.
- Respond promptly to daily emails, phone calls, and client inquiries.
- Collaborate with attorneys, management, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case handling and compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain accurate case files and provide timely status updates.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed.
Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in Alabama and Mississippi (required).
- Prior litigation experience preferred; experience in creditors' rights, collections, civil litigation, or related practice areas is a plus.
- Strong courtroom advocacy and motion practice skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a high-volume practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
