Associate Attorney

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage litigation matters in Alabama and Mississippi.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
• Manage a high-volume litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings in Alabama and Mississippi.
• Review, prepare, and approve pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal filings.
• Develop litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members.
• Respond promptly to daily emails, phone calls, and client inquiries.
• Collaborate with attorneys, management, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case handling and compliance with client requirements.
• Maintain accurate case files and provide timely status updates.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Alabama and Mississippi (required).
• Prior litigation experience preferred; experience in creditors' rights, collections, civil litigation, or related practice areas is a plus.
• Strong courtroom advocacy and motion practice skills.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a high-volume practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
