Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Aid in all phases of personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare substantive motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend and conduct depositions, argue motions in court, and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Support case strategy and litigation planning under the guidance of an experienced partner.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience handling personal injury matters (plaintiff or defense experience considered).
• Active admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• PREFERRED: Experience drafting discovery responses and substantive motions, experience taking depositions, trial preparation or courtroom experience.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to commute to and from Bergen County.
• Ability to travel to courthouses throughout the North Jersey area.
