Responsibilities
- Investigate and gather evidence related to personal injury cases, including police reports, medical records, and witness statements
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach a settlement agreement
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Attend depositions and conduct witness interviews
- Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their case
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop legal strategies and arguments
- Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Utah State Bar (or Arizona)
- Experience practicing personal injury law
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts
- Experience with case management software and technology
