Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through ongoing pre-trial development.
• Prepare, revise, and file persuasive legal motions, briefs, and related court submissions.
• Conduct and defend depositions while analyzing testimony to strengthen case strategy.
• Perform legal research and apply findings to case planning, written arguments, and client recommendations.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to organize evidence, monitor deadlines, and advance active matters.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a thorough and timely manner.
• Aid in hearing and trial preparation by developing case materials, exhibits, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Georgia.
• Demonstrated experience handling civil litigation matters in a law firm or similar legal setting.
• Proven ability to draft motions and other formal legal documents with accuracy and clarity.
• Experience taking and defending depositions as part of active litigation.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced practice.
• Clear, detail-oriented communication skills and sound judgment; competent legal writer.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Admitted to practice law in Georgia.
