Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through ongoing pre-trial development.
- Prepare, revise, and file persuasive legal motions, briefs, and related court submissions.
- Conduct and defend depositions while analyzing testimony to strengthen case strategy.
- Perform legal research and apply findings to case planning, written arguments, and client recommendations.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to organize evidence, monitor deadlines, and advance active matters.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a thorough and timely manner.
- Aid in hearing and trial preparation by developing case materials, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in Georgia.
- Demonstrated experience handling civil litigation matters in a law firm or similar legal setting.
- Proven ability to draft motions and other formal legal documents with accuracy and clarity.
- Experience taking and defending depositions as part of active litigation.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and written advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced practice.
- Clear, detail-oriented communication skills and sound judgment; competent legal writer.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Admitted to practice law in Georgia.
