Associate Attorney

This person is not just "book smart." They are proactive, emotionally intelligent, technologically capable, and comfortable standing in front of a judge advocating for clients during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, stipulations, and discovery demands/responses
• Handle court appearances, conferences, motions, preliminary hearings
• Manage client intake and develop case strategies
• Handle high-conflict custody, support, divorce, and family offense matters

Requirements

• Experience 1-3 years of family law litigation
• Independent handling of tasks including but not limited to: court appearances, conferences, motions, preliminary hearings, client intake, and case strategy discussions
• Familiarity with high-conflict custody, support, divorce, and family offense matters

Qualifications

• Outgoing, personable, independent thinker, emotionally intelligent
• Builds rapport quickly with clients, makes clients feel heard and protected
• Comfortable speaking in court and negotiating with opposing counsel
• Naturally confident communicator, assertive but professional, not intimidated by conflict
• Understands clients hire attorneys to advocate, not simply process paperwork
• Able to remain calm under pressure, problem-solves before escalating issues, manages deadlines and workflow without hand holding
• Takes ownership of files, anticipates issues instead of reacting to them, understands the emotional nature of family law, de-escalates difficult client situations, maintains professionalism even with difficult opposing parties/counsel

• Slack communication, AI tools such as Claude, electronic filing systems, digital document management
