Responsibilities
- Independently manage your own caseload from inception to conclusion, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, providing you with invaluable courtroom experience.
- Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and write memoranda to bolster case strategies.
- Collaborate with seasoned partners and senior attorneys to ensure smooth case management, enhancing your professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have an adequate UBE score for admission to the jurisdiction.
- Have 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or closely related practice area.
- Clerkship experience is considered a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions is vital, coupled with strong capabilities in performing thorough legal research and responding effectively to discovery requests.
- Strong advocacy skills are crucial as you assist in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings.
- Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position.

Pay
The expected pay ranges from $105,000 to $130,000 (commensurate with experience).
