Associate Attorney

About the role

A hybrid Family Law Associate Attorney position is available at Modern Family Law, a national law firm specializing in Family Law. The role offers a remote-first setting with occasional in-person work as required by courts and clients. Billable hours are low (100 per month) and direct client contact is encouraged. The opportunity includes developing substantive litigation skills, meaningful impact on clients' lives, competitive compensation, cutting-edge technology, and learning and development support.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support.
• Communicate directly with clients, draft legal documents, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and mediate disputes.
• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple tasks with precision.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented setting, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of Family Law experience, with preference for those with prior Family Law experience.
• Active admission to the Washington State Bar.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with a strong focus on detail management.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities with a client-centric approach.

Pay

$130,000 - $199,680 annually, with potential for additional commissions based on billable hours and collections.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with the option to work remotely after 6 months.
