Associate Attorney
About the role
Modern Family Law is growing and seeks a hybrid Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team in launching and growing their new Atlanta office. This role offers a remote-first setting with the option for in-person work as needed by courts and clients, low billable hours (100 per month), direct client contact, and the opportunity to develop substantive litigation skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of family law cases including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support.
- Communicate directly with clients, draft legal documents, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and mediate disputes.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple tasks with precision.
- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of Family Law experience preferred.
- Experience in Family Law preferred; open to litigation candidates interested in practicing Family Law.
- Active admission to the Georgia State Bar.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset.
Qualifications
Preference given to candidates with 0-3 years of Family Law experience, but open to candidates interested in transitioning into Family Law practice. Must be actively admitted to the Georgia State Bar.

Pay
$85,000 - $135,000 annually, with potential for additional commissions based on billable hours and collections.
Schedule
The role is hybrid, offering a remote-first setting with the option for in-person work as needed by courts and clients.
