Associate Attorney

About the role

A modern family law firm is seeking a hybrid Family Law Associate Attorney to join their Austin office. The position offers a remote-first setting with occasional in-person work as needed by courts and clients, low billable hours (100 per month), direct client contact, and the opportunity to develop substantive litigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support.
• Communicate directly with clients, draft legal documents, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and mediate disputes.
• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple tasks with precision.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, contributing to the overall success of the practice.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of Family Law experience, with preference for candidates with prior Family Law experience.
• Active admission to the Texas State Bar.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities with a client-focused approach.

Pay

$95,000 - $151,800 annually, with potential for additional commissions based on billable hours and collections.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, with the option to work remotely after 6 months.
