Associate Attorney

About the role

A hybrid Family Law Associate Attorney position is available at Modern Family Law, a national law firm specializing in Family Law. The role offers a remote-first setting with occasional in-person work as needed by courts and clients. Billable hours are flexible at 100 per month, with direct client contact and the opportunity to develop substantive litigation skills early in your career.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support.
• Communicate directly with clients, draft legal documents, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and mediate disputes.
• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple responsibilities with precision.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented setting, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of Family Law experience, with preference given to those with prior Family Law experience.
• Active admission to the Washington State Bar.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a client-focused approach.

Pay

$130,000 - $199,680 annually, with adjustments based on experience, location, billable hour expectations, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

Schedule

This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing for remote work after the first 6 months.
