What You'll Do
- Court Appearances - Prepare, appear timely, and properly handle court appearances within travel distance. Ensure reliable and timely appearances at courthouses, including overnight trips.
- Court Coverage Placements - Review and request coverage for court calls where an Associate will not appear. Attach necessary documents and orders for the attorney's appearance.
- Mid Litigation Motions and Responses - Draft, review, and file necessary motions during litigation.
- Trials and Arbitrations - Prepare for trials and arbitrations as necessary, which may include overnight stays in distant counties.
- Communications - Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers as necessary to resolve accounts and suits.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Nevada to practice law.
- Additional licensing in other states (SC, IA, MO, KS, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NC) is welcomed.
- Comfortable appearing in court and able to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation.
- Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for a high volume case load.
