The Role | Associate Attorney
- Work closely with a senior attorney on a docket of complex litigation matters, including asbestos/mesothelioma and high-value personal injury cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of litigation from case intake through trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Take and defend depositions (fact and expert)
- Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with internal teams including paralegals and medical experts
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice (or ability to waive into) New York preferred
- 1–5+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side or defense litigation welcome)
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Interest in plaintiff-side litigation and advocacy
- Able to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Personal injury, mass tort, or complex litigation exposure
- Deposition and courtroom experience
- Experience working with medical records or expert witnesses
