A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our expanding practice. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of experience, with demonstrated skill in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs. Our practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, including Insurance Defense, Premises Liability Defense, Products Liability, Personal Injury, Trucking, and Wrongful Death. We value professionalism, independence, and the ability to manage multiple projects with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and litigation strategy.
  • Defending depositions and representing the firm in court trials.
  • Managing a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including personal injury, truck and wrongful death lawsuits.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Advising clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, as well as potential legal issues.
  • Collaborating with a team of attorneys to develop effective case strategies.
  • Negotiating settlements in the best interest of the client.
  • Staying updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and timely counsel.
  • Participating in business development activities to expand the firm's client base.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Associate Attorney, with a strong emphasis on commercial litigation.
  • Proven trial experience and a solid understanding of litigation processes.
  • Extensive experience in defending depositions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in personal injury, truck, and wrongful death lawsuits.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of reaching favorable settlements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admission to the state bar where practicing.

$135,000 - $165,000 per year
