• Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
  • Represent clients in healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense cases.
  • Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in law and legal practices, particularly in the areas of healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events, seminars, and client meetings.
• Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
  • Proven experience in trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Willingness to participate in business development initiatives.
