- Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
- Represent clients in healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense cases.
- Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and provide strategic legal advice.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in law and legal practices, particularly in the areas of healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events, seminars, and client meetings.
- Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
- Proven experience in trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Willingness to participate in business development initiatives.
