Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigated claims
• Prepare for trial including strategy discussion, discovery, records review, client interview and witness preparation
• Research into complex litigation areas
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare and argue motions
• Attend hearings
• Communicate with the clients
• Draft settlement agreements and other contracts
• Provide support for non-litigation corporate matters, including without limitation, ESOP corporation formation and related transactions and executive compensation matters

Requirements

• California-licensed attorney with three to five years of litigation experience
• Experience with insurance defense, property damage, premises liability, and products liability
• Experience with ESOP and ERISA and employee benefits matters, general corporate and business matters, and corporate transactions is a plus
