Associate Attorney
About the role
The Manhattan, New York office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., (HBS) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Premises Liability, General Liability, and New York Labor Law practice groups. This is an excellent opportunity to work with experienced litigators, contribute to case strategy, and interact directly with clients in a growing office environment. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience. Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred. Candidates must be active members in good standing with the New York State Bar.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to case strategy and development
- Work closely with experienced litigators
- Interact directly with clients
- Participate in trial preparation and presentation
- Assist in managing cases from inception through resolution
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience
- Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred
- Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in legal software and technology
