Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and appellate briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex real estate and foreclosure issues
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, maintaining deadlines and compliance with court rules
- Counsel and communicate effectively with clients regarding case strategy, risk, and outcomes
Requirements
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- Associate: Minimum 5 years of litigation experience
- Minimum 2 years of real estate law experience required
- Real estate transaction experience is a plus
- Strong experience in drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, writs, and appeals
- Proven success in depositions, mediations, and courtroom advocacy
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Able to manage a full litigation caseload independently
- Law Review, clerkship, or appellate experience preferred but not required
