Associate Attorney

About the role

This Attorney will have experience with general liability litigation, including commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability matters. Trial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new files and maintain client communications
• Handle discovery production and research and prepare legal memoranda on various areas of law
• Prepare and argue discovery motions and substantive, dispositive pre- and post-trial motions and appeals
• Attend pretrial listings and participate in motions and trials

Qualifications

• A JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and maintain an active license in good standing in New Jersey
• 2+ years of general liability litigation experience
• Experience in both NY and NJ commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability is preferred
• Trial experience is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software
• A self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment

Pay

$100,000-$150,000, contingent on experience
