Associate Attorney

About the role

Alexander, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) is a California-based AmLaw 200 law firm dedicated to providing legal services to both public and private organizations throughout the state. Established in 1979, with one office and five attorneys, AALRR has grown to more than 300 attorneys in ten offices throughout California. We are seeking a highly motivated mid-level Litigation Associate with substantial experience in business litigation to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Work from our Westlake Village office several days per week
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Manage a caseload independently and take ownership of matters from inception through trial
• Exercise sound judgment and strategic thinking

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in business litigation
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure
• Substantial experience with discovery, depositions, and law and motion
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Strong command of California civil procedure
• Demonstrated experience handling all phases of litigation
• Confidence managing cases with minimal supervision
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strategic thinking
