About the Role
New Mexico State Athletics is home to 16 intercollegiate teams. This position supports the Women's Basketball program under the general supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer.
Responsibilities
- Provides physical therapy and assists in the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Provides trainer coverage of athletic activities.
- Organizes orthopedic clinics.
- Advises on prevention and care of athletic injuries.
- Team-teaches athletic training classes.
- Supervises student trainers.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree + 7 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience.
- BOC National Certification.
- Eligible for New Mexico Athletic Training License.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment.
- Moderate physical activity, including lifting objects up to 25 pounds or standing/walking for more than four hours per day.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks; basic safety precautions required.
- Schedule includes mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay
$55,000 - $60,000 per year.
