About the role

Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP (“MHS”) is a national law firm focusing on labor and employment defense. MHS is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and we have over 70 attorneys in our seven offices located in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, Orange County, Sacramento, and San Diego. Our attorneys work with some of the largest employers in the United States and have extensive experience providing day-to-day employment related advice and defending clients faced with any kind of labor and/or employment claim. MHS represents clients in all territories and jurisdictions of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Defend single plaintiff lawsuits
• Defend wage and hour class actions
• Work directly with clients on strategy decisions
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience
• Employment law background strongly preferred
• Active Illinois Bar admission
• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school

Qualifications

• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

Pay

Salary Range: $155,000 - $195,000 depending on experience.
