Associate Analytical Scientist
Role Responsibilities
Has a working knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory techniques.
Has demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Applies technical skills and functional knowledge to projects or assignments.
Executes established analytical procedures, methodologies and method validation / transfer protocols with supervision from a senior colleague.
Performs analytical testing (chemical and physical) in support of the development of new OTC products.
Follows CHR&D documentation policies and practices when recording and documenting scientific work.
Recognizes atypical data including chromatography and intermediate results and works with a senior colleague to investigate and determine root cause.
Performs troubleshooting of basic instrumentation issues.
Performs peer reviews of scientific data and reports. Works with colleague to resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.
Adept and flexible at working in a dynamic lab environment on multiple projects.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Chemistry or related science
- BS Degree with 1+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- An industry laboratory experience
- Experience with HPLC, GC and dissolution
Work Environment
This is 5 days a week, onsite, lab-based role at our Richmond, VA facility.
