About the role
The Analytical Laboratory team is seeking an Analytical Associate Scientist. This role is a key contributor to the laboratory, focusing on providing quality data and interpretation to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and analytical chemistry deliverables on assigned chemistry methods and processes.
- Participate as a team member to achieve the laboratory's goal of being a high-performing team providing quality data and data interpretation.
- Adhere to current SOPs and Methods, with a willingness to strive for continued improvement using scientific approaches to problem-solving.
- Master assigned methods, analytical instruments, and the current laboratory information management system.
Requirements
- A B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in chemical analysis, including hands-on instrumentation operation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic chemical analysis methodologies such as pH, Brix, titration-based analyses, and moisture methods.
- Familiarity with electronic data collection applications (LIMS or ELN) and instrument operating systems (Agilent ChemStation or OpenLab).
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices.
- Experience with HPLC or IC methods and familiarity with operating and troubleshooting such instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable to stated goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to share and achieve common goals with internal and/or external teams and work well with all levels of an organization.
- A customer-oriented approach to sample handling and testing.
- Willingness to learn new things, bring ideas for improvement, and be collaborative in solution finding.

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
