Associate Analyst - Technology

About the role

The role provides fundamental equity research support for our Technology analyst. The Associate Analyst program is a three-to-five-year structured program offering ongoing training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Builds/updates financial models
• Assists in quarterly earnings analysis and writing takeaway summaries
• Attends conferences and meetings with management teams
• Conducts various industry and thematic deep dives
• Preliminary work on new investment ideas
• May have an opportunity to rate and recommend stocks after several years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with a strong academic background AND 1+ years relevant work experience (equity research or investment banking experience preferred)
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills including previous experience building three-statement models
• Highly motivated, confident self-starter, with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a performance-driven environment
• A demonstrated interest and passion for equity investing and financial markets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to derive meaningful insights from in-depth research and analysis
• Progress toward the CFA designation; strong preference for candidates that have successfully completed at least Level 1 of the CFA designation
• Familiarity with Python and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex is preferred

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

• $110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
• $110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
• $110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
