About the role

As an Associate Client Compensation Consultant within our Client Compensation Processing Operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering expert solutions to middle and back-office operational inquiries and expediting advisor commission payments. You will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the set-up of payout rules, products and sponsors, billing of fees and expenses, research and payout of advisor compensation, supporting financial advisors, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.

In this role, you will be responsible for activities related to the management and administration of financial advisors' commission payments, including working with internal stakeholders and fund companies to resolve complex commission problems and processing commission payments. Flexibility and adaptability to competing priorities will be key success factors for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Client Compensation Operations processing and procedures
  • Serve as dedicated liaison, taking ownership of Client Compensation escalations
  • Process transactions with precision and accuracy, ensuring accurate and timely payments flow to financial advisors and their firms
  • Own and supervise firm-wide, multi-department projects to build or enhance experience workflows related to the department
  • Proactively review audit controls to mitigate risk, remove redundant requirements, and increase transparency with audit partners
  • Proactively assist with large-scale projects and transformation efforts
  • Plan and champion initiatives that enhance the advisor experience and positively impact the broader LPL organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in operations roles within the financial services industry
  • MS Office, with advanced Excel skills including formulas, macros, and Pivot tables
  • Knowledge of Oracle (ComReg) functionality, BETA, Tumbleweed, and Salesforce preferred

Skills

  • Customer-centric focus with a strong work ethic
  • FINRA Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) Certification (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology (Lean, Agile, Six Sigma) preferred
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail with a problem-solving and process improvement mindset
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and responsiveness to coaching and training

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00–$34.96/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
